The Way Everlasting

Psalms 139:23: Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

The everlasting way is a righteous way. It is God*s way. Commentators say that any other way is heinous, rebellious, idolatrous, erroneous, self-delusional, ignorant, grievous, troublesome, mischievous, frightening, evil, contrary to God, pernicious, hurtful and is the way to death. I need often to be reminded that without God*s direction I would go the wrong way.

Jeremiah 10:23: O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

The oftener I ask for His guidance the better. Read and pray a few of the prayers of the man after God*s own heart. Surely, if he needed to pray them so often, we need to.
